since i dont' have anything better to do, i just hauled my lazy butt up and decided to blog. blame the lack of bloggage on two things: my laziness (but you all know that i'm lazy -.-;;) and grandia II (and since my game cds acting all weird, i MIGHT have more chances to blog).
before i start, to all those who sent greetings of merry christmas, thanks to all of you! *huggles everyone* you know i love your card. *huggles teh kyou* and even if my thank you's a little bit late, i love yours too. by the way, i still can't find the image you used for that card... as for all my promised cards, they will be shipped by thursday (that is if the post office is already open) because it's a 4 day weekend for us.
christmas was pretty crappy for me. the only thing i loved was that i kinda won big at mahjong XS. at least this christmas really proved my theory that christmas' just for kids. it's an emotionally draining, physically tiring and mentally challenging holiday. let's see if new year is better.
i watched lotr:tt two weeks ago. (yeah.. and it's only now that i talk about it...) one thing i would like to say to those who haven't watched it yet (though i think that most of you would have watched it already... maybe except for those not living in the north america): if you're trying to finish the book before watching it, forget about it; or if you already finished the book, just forget everything you read. it's good. no... it's great.. just as long as you know how to make a distinction between book and movie. anyway, i love it. one thing i love about movie adaptations of books is that they can make the boring moments pass by quickly. the journey of frodo, sam and gollum seemed like a breeze to me (though now that i think about it, in the movie, it seemed like they had just less than an hour of fame). i hated that part of the book. yes, kill me but i do not like those journey moments of the two especially before the black gate. another thing i loved about this movie is the action. damn. i love the battle at helm's deep in the book but now i'm loving it even more. i could go on and on raving about the movie, the characters, how good legolas is with a skateboard and a horse, just how darn hot eomer and faramir is, and even how cute gollum is (i think i'm the only one who thinks gollum is so darn cute! XD i find him cuter than dobey) but i won't do that since you'll see it everywhere you go. so instead of praising it, i'll criticize it. ;P particularly with what they did to faramir's character. darn it. faramir's one of my most love character in the series and they did whhhaaatt?! they tainted him! isn't faramir supposed to be someone who was able to resist the ring?! another thing that really bothered me is arwen. why was arwen's role bigger than it was supposed to be? actually, why is she there in the first place? she wasn't supposed to be in the second book. the moment that aragorn fell over that cliff, i knew the reason why. it's because they really have to squeeze arwen in the movie! *sigh* and where's my shelob. XS i was actually waiting for her to make her appearance (since it was that part that i hurriedly finish reading) but when the camera pans out to show the view, i knew that it would be another long wait for me to see shelob. *sigh* well, even with a few gripes, i can't remove the fact that i actually enjoyed it. it's a great movie and if you haven't catched it yet, try to watch it in theaters everywhere.
after posting that, i got reminded of the VSD (Very Secret Diaries) of the Fellowship. well, the author of those updated it already with TTT. go and laugh. love Aragorn's 2nd part. XD
i finally finished watching pita ten. one thing that i didn't expect was to cry at the last two episodes. darn tear-jerkers. i'm such a sucker for those kind.
cute new layout! simple and nice! ...but why am i not in your esca crew?
speaking of blog crews, bc owners read the reminder of lyn. *scratches head* i didn't understand the first part though... but... *goes off to email you*

see.. told you i forgot something! pluggage for sNu. that girl's ingrid, a new character from capcom fighting all star. i'm not into fighting game but she looks so darn cool i just have to make a layout with her in it. capcom designs sometimes are really great.
watched the movie ring. it's the japanese horror flick about a cursed video that gets passed around and it says that whoever watches it will die on the seventh day. there's an american version of this entitled the ring. i also heard that i the japanese version won't be released in america. so if you can get your hands on this one, get it. everything about the movie is great, the sounds, the plot, the characters. and when you think everything's already solved, the story will take you to more twists and turns to conclude in one hellraising moment. won't spoil it for those who's going to watch it since the good thing about this horror flick is the mystery surounding the characters and the events.
another flick i watched was spirit: stallion of the cimarron. i love this movie. only thing troubling me about it is the over-use of bryan adams. don't get me wrong since i like brian adams. now that i think about it, maybe they used him in all of the songs to signify the "singing" voice of spirit. anyway, this is one of those movies that proves that you don't really need lengthy dialogues to make something this good.
one thing i love about living in the philippines is the experience of the holiday season. the christmas rush to get gifts for your love ones, the tiangge (i think it's called flea markets or bazarre in america) that's fully cramped with people, the haggling with the stall owners, the immense traffic caused by these bazarres, the cellphone snatchers among the crowd... usually, spending a day in a bazarre isn't just enough. so now you have to go for seconds or even sometimes thirds. and one problem i'm facing right now is that it's less than two weeks to go till christmas and i haven't done my christmas shopping yet. i think i'll email some of you to get your home addresses so i can send at least christmas cards or even packages. but i doubt it if it'll make it before christmas. maybe sometime january?
finally was able to buy eye of the world. took me soooo darn long, i think like 6 months or more, to get my hands on a copy. the only problem right now is that i promised myself that i won't start reading it until i finished reading lemony snicket and my friend's copy of the two towers. i've been putting the two towers on hold for over a year but since i'm gonna watch it on the 21st, i really have to hurry up and finish it. ughhh.. to tell you the truth, i got tired reading it. i'm at the second part now with frodo and sam and it's like... they walk, they stop, sam thinks that gollum's up to no good, they walk again, they stop... i hope i can remember where i left off. that's also one of the reasons why i looove children's books. it's so much fun and easier to read. harry potter, you're mah hero!
plugs: • adora • lyn • alex • juju • kelly • kuraino • liz • mike • misaki • simon • sor • straw • xela for this and this • yash • .... i should have just said that you should check ALL links in my link list. . anyway, most of these plugs are weeks old but i'm sorry since it's only now that i'm able to do some serious plugging. don't worry though since i've checked all your layouts before.
poor tsubasa. i'm really sorry if your being swamped by fruits basket blog crew applications. i don't know how to thank you. you've been forwarding the applications to me for processing and i'm really grateful. without you, i think the furuba crew wouldn't be this big. again, thanks, and i'm sorry for the applications troubling you.
you're making me cry!!! damn. you're leaving again?! i'm really really really really gonna miss you so damn much. *is currently hating melodies of life because it's making her cry more* oh my, my shobe's leaving again. well, i don't know if i'm being selfish for wanting you to stay, but i really do. but i know you have your own priorities and among them is education. well, good luck, dearie. hope to see you soon!
... *crosses her fingers and hopes that everything will just post fine*
