on movies Ring and Spirit and several books
… darn it!!! fucking shit!!!!! long entry lost! damn it! stupid alt button! just damn the keyboard to hell… fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck.
edit after taking a breather… i think i’ll just post the stuff that needs to be said…
see.. told you i forgot something! pluggage for sNu. that girl’s ingrid, a new character from capcom fighting all star. i’m not into fighting game but she looks so darn cool i just have to make a layout with her in it. capcom designs sometimes are really great.
watched the movie ring. it’s the japanese horror flick about a cursed video that gets passed around and it says that whoever watches it will die on the seventh day. there’s an american version of this entitled the ring. i also heard that i the japanese version won’t be released in america. so if you can get your hands on this one, get it. everything about the movie is great, the sounds, the plot, the characters. and when you think everything’s already solved, the story will take you to more twists and turns to conclude in one hellraising moment. won’t spoil it for those who’s going to watch it since the good thing about this horror flick is the mystery surounding the characters and the events.
another flick i watched was spirit: stallion of the cimarron. i love this movie. only thing troubling me about it is the over-use of bryan adams. don’t get me wrong since i like brian adams. now that i think about it, maybe they used him in all of the songs to signify the “singing” voice of spirit. anyway, this is one of those movies that proves that you don’t really need lengthy dialogues to make something this good.
one thing i love about living in the philippines is the experience of the holiday season. the christmas rush to get gifts for your love ones, the tiangge (i think it’s called flea markets or bazarre in america) that’s fully cramped with people, the haggling with the stall owners, the immense traffic caused by these bazarres, the cellphone snatchers among the crowd… usually, spending a day in a bazarre isn’t just enough. so now you have to go for seconds or even sometimes thirds. and one problem i’m facing right now is that it’s less than two weeks to go till christmas and i haven’t done my christmas shopping yet. i think i’ll email some of you to get your home addresses so i can send at least christmas cards or even packages. but i doubt it if it’ll make it before christmas. maybe sometime january?
finally was able to buy eye of the world. took me soooo darn long, i think like 6 months or more, to get my hands on a copy. the only problem right now is that i promised myself that i won’t start reading it until i finished reading lemony snicket and my friend’s copy of the two towers. i’ve been putting the two towers on hold for over a year but since i’m gonna watch it on the 21st, i really have to hurry up and finish it. ughhh.. to tell you the truth, i got tired reading it. i’m at the second part now with frodo and sam and it’s like… they walk, they stop, sam thinks that gollum’s up to no good, they walk again, they stop… i hope i can remember where i left off. that’s also one of the reasons why i looove children’s books. it’s so much fun and easier to read. harry potter, you’re mah hero!
plugs: • adora • lyn • alex • juju • kelly • kuraino • liz • mike • misaki • simon • sor • straw • xela for this and this • yash • …. i should have just said that you should check ALL links in my link list. . anyway, most of these plugs are weeks old but i’m sorry since it’s only now that i’m able to do some serious plugging. don’t worry though since i’ve checked all your layouts before.
poor tsubasa. i’m really sorry if your being swamped by fruits basket blog crew applications. i don’t know how to thank you. you’ve been forwarding the applications to me for processing and i’m really grateful. without you, i think the furuba crew wouldn’t be this big. again, thanks, and i’m sorry for the applications troubling you.
you’re making me cry!!! damn. you’re leaving again?! i’m really really really really gonna miss you so damn much. *is currently hating melodies of life because it’s making her cry more* oh my, my shobe’s leaving again. well, i don’t know if i’m being selfish for wanting you to stay, but i really do. but i know you have your own priorities and among them is education. well, good luck, dearie. hope to see you soon!
… *crosses her fingers and hopes that everything will just post fine*
