on watching LotR: TT and pitaten

since i dont’ have anything better to do, i just hauled my lazy butt up and decided to blog. blame the lack of bloggage on two things: my laziness (but you all know that i’m lazy -.-;;) and grandia II (and since my game cds acting all weird, i MIGHT have more chances to blog).

before i start, to all those who sent greetings of merry christmas, thanks to all of you! *huggles everyone* you know i love your card. *huggles teh kyou* and even if my thank you’s a little bit late, i love yours too. by the way, i still can’t find the image you used for that card… as for all my promised cards, they will be shipped by thursday (that is if the post office is already open) because it’s a 4 day weekend for us.

christmas was pretty crappy for me. the only thing i loved was that i kinda won big at mahjong XS. at least this christmas really proved my theory that christmas’ just for kids. it’s an emotionally draining, physically tiring and mentally challenging holiday. let’s see if new year is better.

i watched lotr:tt two weeks ago. (yeah.. and it’s only now that i talk about it…) one thing i would like to say to those who haven’t watched it yet (though i think that most of you would have watched it already… maybe except for those not living in the north america): if you’re trying to finish the book before watching it, forget about it; or if you already finished the book, just forget everything you read. it’s good. no… it’s great.. just as long as you know how to make a distinction between book and movie. anyway, i love it. one thing i love about movie adaptations of books is that they can make the boring moments pass by quickly. the journey of frodo, sam and gollum seemed like a breeze to me (though now that i think about it, in the movie, it seemed like they had just less than an hour of fame). i hated that part of the book. yes, kill me but i do not like those journey moments of the two especially before the black gate. another thing i loved about this movie is the action. damn. i love the battle at helm’s deep in the book but now i’m loving it even more. i could go on and on raving about the movie, the characters, how good legolas is with a skateboard and a horse, just how darn hot eomer and faramir is, and even how cute gollum is (i think i’m the only one who thinks gollum is so darn cute! XD i find him cuter than dobey) but i won’t do that since you’ll see it everywhere you go. so instead of praising it, i’ll criticize it. ;P particularly with what they did to faramir’s character. darn it. faramir’s one of my most love character in the series and they did whhhaaatt?! they tainted him! isn’t faramir supposed to be someone who was able to resist the ring?! another thing that really bothered me is arwen. why was arwen’s role bigger than it was supposed to be? actually, why is she there in the first place? she wasn’t supposed to be in the second book. the moment that aragorn fell over that cliff, i knew the reason why. it’s because they really have to squeeze arwen in the movie! *sigh* and where’s my shelob. XS i was actually waiting for her to make her appearance (since it was that part that i hurriedly finish reading) but when the camera pans out to show the view, i knew that it would be another long wait for me to see shelob. *sigh* well, even with a few gripes, i can’t remove the fact that i actually enjoyed it. it’s a great movie and if you haven’t catched it yet, try to watch it in theaters everywhere.

after posting that, i got reminded of the VSD (Very Secret Diaries) of the Fellowship. well, the author of those updated it already with TTT. go and laugh. love Aragorn’s 2nd part. XD

i finally finished watching pita ten. one thing that i didn’t expect was to cry at the last two episodes. darn tear-jerkers. i’m such a sucker for those kind.
