two years ago, 2001, the tomb raider movie really got me excited. so when they showed it in local theaters, i just have to watch it during the first weekend. good to say, it actually lived up to my expectations. and i think i’m one of those few who actually loved the movie. my friends told me that that movie sucked for them big time. no plot what-so-ever. i’m not a big sucker for plot-centric movies and i think that’s one of the reasons that i enjoy most of the movies that i watched. give me a good action movie, i’ll definitely love it. and i think that’s one of the reasons why i loved the first tomb raider. two years later, 2003, around april or may, while watching trailers, i first encountered cradle of life. from the trailer itself, it gave me the feeling that what i’m watching isn’t lara croft anymore. yeah, it’s still angelina jolie. but it seems that she lacks something. so i prepared myself not to like the movie, but still, just last thursday, i said to myself: “what the heck. it’s a tomb raider movie. why not give it a chance?” and so we rushed to the theater… and what a disappointment it was. even though i know i wouldn’t like the movie, the movie i watched wasn’t at all a tomb raider movie. what i was watching wasn’t lara croft. it was just plain angelina jolie. it’s not that i don’t like her, but i was expecting her to epitomize lara croft since it’s a tomb raider movie, right? i personally felt that it lacked action, lacked the lara croft moves, lacked the lara croft lips XD, and lacked the lara croft boobs. yeah… where’s that trademark lara croft boobs?! XD anyway, so what kept me watching was just to see noah taylor and chris barrie. (if you don’t know they’re the computer-expert and the butler of lara respectively) but no… their roles were so small that it’s a miracle they’re still part of the credits. anyway, i still love them at the ending XD damn cute together. and noah taylor’s cute with long dredlocks. anyway, if your an angelina jolie fan, i think you’ll love this one coz she’s just everywhere. but yeah… don’t expect much. at least, i agree with them in saying that it kinda sucked. now i hope the next movie i watch won’t disappoint me. that’s either pirates (which i dunno when they’ll be showing locally), lgx (again, i dunno when), or bulletproof monk (which they’re showing this wednesday). *prays that these movies will be good*

new layout. teeheehee. it wasn’t supposed to be uploaded yet. darn XD. but someone said that she’s already seeing it X.X. anyway, i was thinking of making a naruto layout but nothing’s coming to mind. so i’ll just reserve naruto for the next kNIUE layout. hopefully next month. so if you’re wondering who’s that great looking beanie-wearing, staff-like carrying hot bishie, that’s joker. one of the villians turned slightly good in the series flame of recca. if you haven’t read the manga, try your luck finding it at irc or at the bookstore in august since FOR’s already licensed by viz. but i’m telling you, you should really try reading it. it’s one of the best shounen manga i’ve ever read…. but then again, i’m one of those easily pleased readers XD anyway, as for joker, i loooooove him to bits. i love his attitude. i love his banters with koganei. i love how he helps the hokage. i love his beanies. i love his caps. i love his fangs. i love the way he clothes himself. i love the fact that his face isn’t fully shown anywhere. i just loooove him. aside from kurei and raiha, he’s one of the coolest villian ever. *thinks hard of other villians from other series* luv him, please! luv him i tell you! because he deserves all the love in the world! by the way, if you love the old layout better (though i dunno why) head over here to change it back. if you don’t know… there are skins in there. >.>

hmmm… more updates around the network. one on eyes on me. couple of corrections and new info here and there. and go adopt rinoa please. because she needs a home somewhere. layout archive got updated with the latest layouts plus a couple of new fonts. i’m thinking of adding a skinning layout tutorial for b2 in it but i don’t know if i should push through. i’ve based the skinning for this blog from here, i did mine differently. *wonders if she should still do it* also updated the button wall with a couple of new links.

finally! toriyamaworld releasing episode 36. i’m forever waiting for their fansubs. i would rather watch theirs than a-one’s. that is if a-one’s still releasing naruto eps. now to get bittorrent to download faster. my upload rate’s sometimes higher than my download rate. not that i’m a just a leecher who wouldn’t wanna share. it’s just that i’ll share after downloading the ep. waaahhh!!!! and it’s giving me an estimated time of 7 hours. seven friggin’ long hours! i want my dose of naruto, sasuke and kakashi right now…. now i tell you! now!!!!

speaking of naruto, mercedes is mah hero. and you know why? because her shikamaru shrine is just … wow. *is speechless* absolutely wonderful. i learned a lot about shika from that shrine. (didn’t know that they raised deers XD) shows that you really love him. now i’m ordering you to go! go! go! go! go!. go i say. and spread the shika lurv.
