Wu Chun and Calvin Chen in the Philippines
You know Wu Chun? The cute Taiwanese version of Hana Kimi’s Sano? He’s visiting the Philippines together with fellow Fahrenheit member, Calvin Chen, promoting their current locally aired drama Romantic Princess. Events like this make me grateful that I work for a broadcasting company.
So last Saturday, July 12, 2008, I went to the office around 1:30PM to take my chances of getting a glimpse of him. We stayed behind the stage where they’ll be greeting the fans and waited until around 3PM for their arrival. It was supposed to be an organized event complete with marshals and bouncers to control the crowd. Keyword was “supposed to be”. But then, like what usually happens in events like these, the crowd just went on a fangirling rampage, pushing forward trying to get nearer to the stage. When they arrived and proceeded to the stage, most of us people in the backstage went rushing forward. And the fans went wild calling out to him. Bianca Gonzales was talking with Wu Chun all the time maybe because since he pretty much knows English. I kinda feel sorry for Calvin Chen since when he got a chance to squeeze in a few words, the only thing he could say was “Sorry to keep you waiting.” XD After like just a minute of greetings and exchanges of “Magandang ‘apo” (that’s supposed to be Hapon x_x;;; or Good Afternoon) Wu Chun was pretty sweet and insisted to go down to get their picture taken with the fans even if the crowd was going ape-shit crazy. And then after that, they went to the studio for their interview for TV.
We were supposed to be able to enter the studio but the security was pretty tight and we can’t seem to get in touch with our contact person inside. Plus I heard that the place was already packed. So we stayed a few minutes near the backstage dressing rooms and then suddenly they came out and I was like stunned. I didn’t expect them to be coming out near us since I thought they were already inside the studio itself. Or if ever they weren’t they would take another route going there. So when they passed by going to the studio, the security told us that he doesn’t know if they’ll be passing back there but more than likely they’ll take another route going to their next destination, the press conference. So we decided just to go back to the office.
Back at the office, when one of my friend just stepped out in order to go to the restroom, she came rushing back in calling us since she just saw both Wu Chun and Calvin Chen enter the office next to us. OMG! They were in the same floor as our office! So we rushed back out and waited for them near the elevator banks. They were definitely there because a crowd was again gathered there, though of course not as big as the crowd earlier. When they emerged from the next door office, people swarmed towards them. I was waiting for him near the open elevator car but was told to go nearer by my friend in order to have a better video. So okay I did but when they started moving again towards the elevators, I stationed myself near it. As he was passing by, I waved and said “Hi!” and to my astonishment and glee, he looked at me and waved back. Oh. Em. Gee. I can’t believe it, I was the only one there when I looked at my back. He looked and waved at me! *dies* And as the elevator doors were closing, he was still waving bye. :)
And some photos! Wu Chun has seriously flawless skin. Like really smooth. He’s even prettier than the host, Bianca Gonzales here. And Calvin Chen’s smile is just so adorable. I love his smile. Makes me wish that they should have included Jiro Wang because that guys smile is adorkable too. XD

And more pictures could be found here.
If you want more photos, I’m thinking
gyelle9’s going to be posting some pics and videos too. *pokes

And this was the video that I took where he waved hi to me! *dies*
Events like these make me wish that ABS-CBN would get Hanadan or Gokusen from GMA7 and then bring MatsuJun and even Arashi here to the Philippines too.

Oh.. you’re lucky.. My classmates are dying to see them.. Haha! I’m not. I’d rather die to see Arashi, Yuu Shirota or Teppei Koike. XP I’m not fond of taiwanese superstars.. But you’re lucky to see them, ^^,
