So, it's April 1. Happy April Fools! How was your April Fool's Day? XD
I never in my life would think that I'll say this ever, but it seems that this is the most awesome April Fool's Day, ever! I came upon this article saying that X-Men Origins: Wolverine was leaked. Being April 1, I really thought it's an April Fool's joke or else I would be having a serious heart attack. I wasn't risking downloading porn and watching it in the office or something. And then screencaps popped up. SCREENCAPS! OF GAMBIT! THAT I HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE! OMG! I debated with myself for a minute if I'm downloading this or not. Yeah, only a minute since the downloading option won. It doesn't matter anyway. I'll still be there, April 29, first day of showing, watching this movie. And maybe even more screenings after that.
Anyway, so the leaked version, though it was a complete movie, it wasn't finished. A few CGs and FX aren't done yet. You still could see the ropes and harnesses holding the actors when they do flips on some scenes. Also, they grabbed the credits from X-Men: The Last Stand I think. There was Halle Berry, Ian McKellen and Famke Janssen. XD But as for the movie itself, it was awesome... even with the lack of the CGs and FX. This is one of the movies I was looking forward too since forever. Add to that excitement is the presence of Gambit. And after watching the movie, I would just like to say that Taylor Kitsch was really really the perfect Gambit. He was awesome in the role. Gambit was tied being my most favorite X-Men with Wolverine and Taylor did justice to him. Of course we have already seen how great Hugh Jackman is so there's no change in that. Ryan Reynold as Wade Wilson was cool too. He got the "mouth" part in the "merc with a mouth".
And now for spoilers and my personal problem with the plot. So that flash-beam guy in the trailer that isn't Scott is Deadpool. And here, Fox messes it up. Deadpool wasn't supposed to be some Frankenstein, right? A mix-mash of everyone's mutant powers. And also, I know that the reason he joins Weapon X was because he was terminally ill with cancer. Why the fuck did Fox have to make him the bad guy in the end?! I seriously love Deadpool, so I'm still keeping my hopes up that, since there were re-shoots of some scenes, they would explain that it wasn't really Deadpool that Logan and Wolverine battled with at the end. Anyway, aren't rumors of a Deadpool movie going around. And if so, then the one Logan decapitated couldn't be Deadpool... unless he also got some regenerative powers from someone. Oh, and another spoiler... It was a surprise to see Patrick Stewart make a cameo. Professor X!
I am really really really so fucking happy that the rumored 3 minute screentime of Gambit is just that... rumors. Because it's definitely more than three minutes. He actually had a bigger awesome role than I expected. Yay! ? I can't wait for this to be released in theaters. Because nothing can be better than seeing the sexiness that is Gambit in his larger-than-life awesomeness. Or maybe there is... having Taylor Kitsch's babies and him fucking me senseless. XD Is it April 29, yet?! OMG!
Thanks to piagorgeous, I have now a new obsession on football... Michael Owen, the striker for England. Holy shit. Talk about gorgeous. *jawdrops* I am not a big fan of football... still not am. But I like a couple of players. Ronaldo, Zidane, Beckham, Christiano Ronaldo. And now topping my list, Michael Owen. XD Too bad though looks like his injury in the Sweden vs England game would make him miss the rest of World Cup.
Though my Hugh Jackman obsession is now wanning, just seeing him stil makes me a little bit giggly inside. There's just something about his smile that makes me melt into a puddle of goo.
( After Ian Thorpe, why don't we do Hugh Jackman! )
And now for Micheal Owen. *licks icon* XP
( Humongous Micheal Owen pic spam under the cut. And I mean 19 pics humongous... )
Argh. I hope his injury heals soon. Or at least it isn't that serious. But to be stretchered out of the game... T___T The test results will be out tomorrow, so yeah.
Wow.... Wow... Wow... *is speechless*
Watched X3:TLS last night and just... wow. Totally loved it. Haven't watched the first X-men movie but was able to catch the second one and this one is waaaay better than that. Or maybe because it was too Wolverine-centric and that appeals to me being a Wolverine fan. ^^; Heck, it could have been Storm-centric, I wouldn't care since for one, Hugh Jackman is soooooo hot. Like drool-worthy hot. Like make-me-come-in-my-pants hot. XD But you know what would have made it even better?! Goddammit, I still want my Gambit! Gambit and Wolverine are my absolute fave X-men. I could even live without Cyclops. But not without those two! Waaaaah! Gambit please!
So yeah, totally love it. After the kinda letdown of The Da Vinci code, I'm glad that this one's absolutely great. The runtime of the movie's pretty short compared to the runtime of The DVC and MI:III. But unlike them, I didn't notice the time pass by. The story was pretty fast paced and a lot of things happened and were squeezed in into the 1 hour and 43 minute movie.
Oh, some stuff to look out for once you watch the movie (and I'm telling you that you should really watch the movie!) Stan Lee! Watering his garden at maybe the first 15-20 minutes of the movie. And the sexiness that is Hugh Jackman almost naked! *fans self* I can't stress that enough, can I. XDDD Sexy Hugh Jackman! And please please please see the movie up to the end of the credits since there is an extra scene in there. It was funny at the cinema we usually take one of the closest seats to the screen and when the credits rolled and that particular scene finished, when I looked back, I just saw two other people in the cinema with us. *shrugs* Poor other people, not knowing what happened to one of the more important characters. ^^;
