Finished Kingdom Hearts a while ago… around 2 weeks ago. XD That was such a long movie but such a short game. Or maybe it was because of the millions of cutscenes that I think it’s a long movie. I would have expected it to last at least 10 more hours. And that’s my game clocking at around 50 hours. Mine wasn’t a perfect game as I know a lot of people are trying to do. I was trying to complete the Jiminy Journal since I was only in standard mode but want to see the secret ending. But I know I wouldn’t be able to complete it since I don’t have the patience and perseverance to battle Sephiroth. I never did battle with him in the first one. I won’t even bother fighting him in this one. But since I so desperately want to see the secret ending in my TV and not in youtube or downloaded from the net (though I already saw it in youtube ^^;;;), am currently replaying it in proud mode. Plus, I want to understand the story more anyway. ^^;

And to celebrate my beating Kingdom Hearts, new layout at Little Brother Network. Sora! <33333 I soooo love Sora! And Riku! And Axel! And the emo!Roxas! I want my KHIII right now. I don't want to wait another 4 or more years. Oh, Square-Enix! Why do you have to torture me and millions of people who want next game now!

Finished Wild Arms 4 the other night just in time for Kingdom Hearts II. Yeah, some of you might have already finished KHII but I wasn’t able to get my own copy until yesterday.

Anyway, back to Wild Arms, it started out good. But then why did it just sucked in the end. Storywise it just isn’t in par with WA1 and WA2. Haven’t played WA3, so I can’t compare this with that. Or maybe I’m just not a fan of the characters. Jude started out okay but I love Arnaud the most, not counting Kresnik and Gawn. Or maybe those too “goody goody with no internal struggle characters” aren’t just my type. Yeah, maybe that’s it. The characters just didn’t do it for me. And as far as my gaming experience counts, it’s only here that I encountered a villian that bawls like a kid. Wait. Now that I think about it, maybe that’s the developer’s purpose for the game. To make the main character act like a boring too-good-adult while making the adult villians act childish. The plot’s about the children being the future of the world anyway. I wonder if they made the game longer would it be better? I mean, if I didn’t go around and level up my characters, which really isn’t needed, I could have finished the game under 30 hours. And with longer time, then they could have focused on some of the subplots too. Like Jude’s father being a war hero criminal and also of Racquel’s illness. Those looked more interesting than the main plot.

After finishing the game, those are my major complaints about it. But other than those, it’s a pretty okay since I like the battle system. The usage of HEXes makes the game relatively easy. You can heal and damage many at a time instead of one character/enemy per turn. I also like that mini-game platformer. I think that it’s called External ROMs or something. Old school Mario type! And since platformers rule, I love it! And don’t forget the puzzles all across the dungeons, which is really a WA trademark. Love those too. Oh and aside from those did I mention I love Kresnik and Gawn?! ^_~

And now since I’ve finished that, have to move on to my next game. Initially, I was supposed to play Shadow Hearts: Covenant since I heard a lot of good stuff about this and was just able to get my hands on it over the weekend. But yeah, I’m putting that down for later since I was able to get my hands on Kingdom Hearts II. Woot! Just bought it last night! So I popped it in and played till 2 in the morning. Have to stop though because I really have to sleep for work.

Anyway, all this time, I thought that Roxas name is pronounced Ro-has and not Rok-sas. Is it only us Filipinos that pronounce it that way? X said as H? Because I really find it weird hearing Roxas’ name pronounced with the k and the s. I stayed away as much from trailers and all those stuff until now so as not to spoil it and so now, this is new to me. Well, we have the Philippine president named Manuel Roxas. And that major road named after him called Roxas Boulevard. All of them pronounced with an H. Gyah! I guess, I really just have to get used to it. =_= Oh, and another thing… Who the heck voiced Seifer? That wasn’t how I imagined him to sound like. Okay, it’s a kid Seifer but still. TT___TT Seifeerrr!

… And after a couple of Google links and clicks, I now know that WIl Friedle voiced Seifer. O___O Will Friedle?! I liked him in his teeny days and during Boy Meets World time and I also like him as Terry in Batman Beyond. But, but… Ugh. (~_~) And the Japanese gets Koyasu Takehito! Why can’t these Japanese seiyuu be more proficient in English so they can do the voices of their counterparts in the English game as well. They really should learn to speak English. All of them. Not only will their fans love it, but they’ll earn more money too, right?!

And so now, I’m counting the minutes till I get home. Because, damn I want to play the game more. Maybe I should skip work tomorrow?! XD

XD wheee!! kingdom hearts and cloud. *licks* you know what? i don’t know how you do it. i saw that pic in rpgfan and it’s just one simple pic but you made it glorious. glorious i say. cloud with wings… it’s weird when i think about it. and batwings to boot. now that i have a closer look, did cloud turned into a cyborg in the game? what’s with the left arm? or is that just some protector under the shield? *should go and clean her glasses* and hmmm.. claws? okay.. it’s a mutated cyborg cloud XD maybe i should dig more into kh than babbling here. (you can tell that i have this entry long going, since you’ve moved back to uNu.

on to more kh stuff, lots of people are looking for the simple and clean track from kingdom hearts. i have the planetb remix and i dunno if there’s a track out there that’s not a remix. anyway, for those looking for it, it’s here. enjoy that while i still have it up. i might take it down sooner or later.

speaking of kh, ps2! *sighs* if our company’s going to give more than a 15th month bonus for this coming christmas season, one thing is for sure. i’m definitely going to get a ps2. *crosses her fingers hoping that what she wishes would come true*

anyway… i was looking through some vcds in the mall one weekend looking for a movie to buy when i came upon “the neverending story ii”. it reminded me of some titles from the 80s that i really really really missed and would love to catch again. so for anyone out there who wants to rent a movie, try these titles. i can’t actually say that you’re going to love these if you haven’t cathced these movies yet since we might have different tastes.

1. the neverending story - of course the ever popular movie from mid-80s. who could forget about atreyu’s adventures, the childlike empress, bastian and falkor. this is one of the movies that i have watched more than 25 times. (though i don’t really keep tabs on it. but i know that aside from the little mermaid and return to oz and labyrinth, i watched this more than my brain could handle.) if you don’t know, it’s a story of a young boy who enters fantasia and rescues the childlike empress and fantasia from the nothing. it’s actually based on a german novel, die unendliche geschichte, though it only tackles the first half of the book. so to satisfy my craving for this, i’m currently reading it.

2. return to oz - one of my faves. yes, this wasn’t received as warmly as wizard of oz because it lacks the cheerfulness and the colors of the original movie. instead, we see a dark, scary and dreary movie which would give a child nightmares to no end. that’s why i love this movie. it’s not your typical children’s movie. princess mombi and how she changed her heads and the wheelers. *shivers* they gave me the creeps. and who would forget about the newwer characters tik-tok and jack pumpkin head. and also the flying couch! ahhhh… memories XD

3. labyrinth - david bowie. that’s the first thing that comes to mind when i hear the word labyrinth XD. LOL! DAVID BOWIE! i’m not a david bowie fan. but heck, he’s good in the movie. who would have thought that a goblin king could look like that! then there’s the puppets. awesome puppetry. jim henson at his best.

4. the flight of the navigator - i can barely remember this movie. that’s one of the reasons why i wanna catch it again. what i can remember is that this kid is the only one that can fly the spaceship, or something like that.

disclaimer for the above listing: i’ve watched these movies a long long time ago maybe when i was between 5 to 9. i just remember mostly snippets from it. and from what i remember these were the movies that i enjoyed back then. remember, BACK THEN. my opinions might change when i get a chance to rewatch these movies. let’s just see what happens.

it’s sooooo weird how long i’ve been trying to finish this entry. to tell you the truth, i’ve started this early last week. so basically, it lasted for more than week! geez. X|
