I’m pretty happy with this season of Survivor. Liked it better than the crappy Vanuatu one. But I was rooting for Terry to win it. Because any other winner than him would have been such a disappointing win. Or so I thought. I always liked Aras. But not enough to root for him. He is the pretty boy/hunk of the group that I thought he’ll be a threat to others and will be ousted eventually. But since individual immunity started he was my second choice to win it if ever Terry doesn’t. So my ideal final two was Terry and Aras and Terry winning it and overcoming the car curse. Oh my god. Someone really have to stop that car curse!!! Sad to say Terry was the third but I’m still glad Aras won. Seriously, better him than Danielle. And even better him than Cirie. I never did like Cirie. I’m one of those few people who just didn’t like her at all. Right from the start when she contrived to vote Tina off. Yeah, never did like her from then. And now that it’s finished I’m gonna sorta miss this season. No more crazy Shane. Though seriously, I like Shane and his craziness since he brought more life to the show than Cirie, Danielle, Bruce and Courtney combined. And no more alpha-male head-butting Terry and Aras. No more hunky and drool worthy Aras. And no more cocky Terry winning immunity. But yeah, up to the end, like what Shane said, I really think Terry was the ulitimate survivor in this season.

Anyway, congrats to Aras, you hunk, you! XD And now to wait for Survivor: Cook Islands this September. Looks like there’s still be an exile island in this one too. Damn, that’s such a long wait! Four months?! How the hell am I gonna live without my weekly Survivor fix! T____T

But anyway, before that have to watch TAR9 Finale this Thursday. I’m really not rooting anyone on this since I pretty much like everyone, and yes, that includes the frat boys. I’m partly glad that team MoJo’s out last week but then pretty sad since every team in the finals looks like they get along well. So really nothing good for TV there. No bickering and such. But yeah, yay! TAR9 Finale!

i’m thinking of raving about how drool worthy advent children is… but maybe i’ll talk about that some other time. oh, as a note, someone told me that the japanese DVD has english subtitles. so, right now, FF7:ac went up on my to-order-online list just because of that. for those who are looking for it, it’s listed at amazon.jp.

anyway, like what i said, that wasn’t what i was supposed to talk about. survivor guatemala. yeah, i am a reality tv junkie… only when it comes to survivor and amazing race. survivor 11 was supposed to be shown at studio23 at 1PM for the via satellite telecast and 8PM for the primetime telecast. i have no idea what happened but they didn’t follow the 1PM schedule. i’m glad i didn’t miss work for it. but heck waiting in front of the TV for an hour and a half just to realize that they’re not going to show it is irritating. but at least they still have the primetime telecast. which makes me glad that i’m not a party person and am willing to stay home on a friday night. and i’m happy that work was cancelled today so i can go home earlier than expected to catch it at home instead of watching it at work. twist of this season? re-entering of bobby jon and stephenie, castaways from survivor palau. i have no idea why mark burnett did this. but seeing bobby jon again on tv definitely made my week. and since this will be a weekly show, he’ll now make my every week. even with the rolling back of the eyes, and suffering from dehydration and cramps, he’s still as hot, yummy and sexy as ever. looks like i know who i’ll be rooting for this season. XDDD i just hope that he makes it farther this time than the last time he was in the game.

one of the things i looooove about my line of work, i have the opportunity to meet international celebrities. and right now, i just came from the press con of the survivor stars ethan, jenna m and shii anne. studio 23 flew them over here in the philippines to do some promotional stint. damnit. it still isn’t sinking in that i met my most fave survivor, ethan. *waits for everything to just sink in*

anyway, on to the press con, it first started with us waiting for the three to arrive and so since it was a lunch presscon, we had our lunch over a buffet. i can’t eat though, i dunno, maybe because of excitement, but i just had some soup as appetizers and crepe for desert. then i had to go down for a while since i left my mobile at my place. and when i ride the elevator going up, i didn’t realize that i was riding 5 floors up with shii anne! wow.. shii anne in the same elevator as me. i just realized it when i stepped out of the elevator and she talked with her companion. when i looked back, it was shii anne! oh my.

*gets sidetracked with email from work* just got this in my email: “thanks ethan! :)”… *gets smacked in the head* and now it totally sinks it. holllyyyyyyyy shiiiiiiit! i just met ethan!!!!!! asasdlkjhasd. ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! *hyperventilates* *breathe iiiiinnnnnn* *breath ouuuuutttt* *calms down a little bit*

going back to the story, the next to arrive was ethan and jenna, and yes, they are a couple and a cute one to boot. since we were only three in a table of 10, they took the remaining seats at our table and that’s where they ater their lunch. so that made ethan and me lunch mates! not seat mates though since he was like 2 seats away from where i am. but still, i’m sharing a table with ethan and jenna!

after their lunch, was the open forum or the question and anwer with the press people. i would have loved to ask if ever there are wedding bells on the horizon for ethan and jenna anytime soon, but then i don’t have the guts to ask. anyway, they answered several questions… like what they did to their money (ethan opened up grassroots soccer, jenna invested her winning in real estate, and shii anne gave the car she won to her folks); if ever there’s another all-stars, will they still join (all answered yes, plus they can do it even for free); what they’re going to choose: love or money (both ethan and jenna picked love since… well they’re together… and shii anne joked about her picking money over the other two, jenna and ethan); how are their relationships with the other survivors (shii anne is still good friends with some including kathy and for all-stars, there’s no love lost between jenna l and her.. saying that they didn’t really bond.. or something like that, jenna is best friends with heidi and still friends with rob c, ethan baby sits lex’s son and visits tom’s farm and then saying that he didn’t really bond well with brandon and another survivor africa girl i can’t remember); name 5 memorable events good or bad at survivor be it at all-stars or their own survivor (shii anne points out the supposedly merge at thailand, winning the car, getting to see each one getting voted out, and the raising-the-arm endurance challenge at all-stars, for jenna aside from winning the million dollars the peanut butter and jelly incident and the merge, and for ethan, winning the million dollars and playing with the kids. can’t remember all their answers though but they all give 5 answers each.); if ever after survivor, personality-wise have they changed and what do they think of how the show and other people portrayed them (shii anne and ethan both said they didn’t change, jenna on the other hand said that she thinks she changed since she was just 21 back then and was among the people who haven’t even stepped out of her small circle of friends and world. and even if people think that she’s a snot she really don’t care); if ever there was a change in their popularity after survivor, any movie offers, or what nots (yes, they’re all popular right now, and only a good actress can really hide from all the popularity and fame.. well, that’s what ethan said. and jenna said that there aren’t any movie offers but jokes about something like willing to do some tv show for philippine tv where she and ethan are a couple and shii anne then can guest… XD). well they also talked about other stuff like their perception of philippines and the philippine food. they already tried sisig (chopped pigs ears in a hot plate) kare-kare (goat meat in tomato sauce or something like that) and even though they don’t know what it was when they ate it, they found it good.

the presscon ended with a pictorial session. i didn’t get my pictures taken with them but i took a lot of pictures of them. though my stoopid camera acted all weird and only a fourth of the pictures are okay. it’s good though that the gals i went to the presscon with had a reliable camera so i’ll post a couple of pictures later when i get home. ei, and also, jenna noticed my mini cute cybershot while i was taking some photos of them. i heard her say, “wow, that a cute, small camera!” or something to that effect.
