Fall TV Season

Months have come and by and haven't really blogged.

It's almost the end of August already. September is so near. You know what that means? New fall season on TV! OMG! I'm looking forward to a lot of stuff.

First and foremost, of course. Supernatural's fifth season. Season four was so-so for me. Unlike other fans, I wasn't really that hooked with the angels storyline. Castiel was okay in my book but Anna bothered the heck out of me. I loved Katie!Ruby from season 3 and Gen!Ruby irked me with her blase acting. But I still liked the season four ender. Kripke always delivers his season openers and enders. And that's why I'm looking forward to season five. Supernatural is just supposed to run for five seasons and that's fine with me. I'm scared that if Kripke extends this it might end like Smallville, dragging everything through filth and then it ends up being a fucked up series. But whatever happens, Kripke, please end it with a big bang.

Two other series that I'm looking forward too (maybe even more than Supernatural) is GLEE and Merlin season two. I was able to watch both the director's cut and the preview of GLEE. The director's cut was more cohesive than the preview. And I love it from the very start when they were performing That's the Way I Like It. The director's cut numerous VOs made me like it better than the preview. I think that added to my love for this series too. And also of course the music and songs and choreography. XD Oh and Cory. ♥

As for Merlin, I was and still am waiting for season two since December last year! OMG! That's such a long wait! I mean, I know that there's a season two for it but why won't they give a specific official date?! Even it's return on September isn't really official yet since I haven't read it anywhere but from several fan places only. I want my Arthur already. And Merlin. And their cheesy and slashy goodness.

I marathoned Law & Order: Special Victims Unit last summer. Yes, all ten seasons within three weeks. And now that's added to my current watch list too. I started it since I am obsessed with J.D. Robb's In Death series and Olivia reminded me of Eve so much. But as the seasons went on, I started to really like this series a lot. I'm glad that Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni's back for season eleven because I don't know if my love for Munch will make me watch this series if Olivia and Stabler won't be back.

Now the other series I'm also placing in my to-be-watched list: Fringe, How I Met Your Mother, Survivor and The Amazing Race. I wanna add Chuck to it too but won't it be back mid-season.. so that's like sometime January next year? I'm definitely not adding Heroes already, haven't been watching that for a little less than a season now. I'm on the fence if I should still watch Gossip Girl but haven't also touched that too for half a season. The same for Dollhouse, haven't watched the season ender and the unaired pilot. So what I have isn't really a long list for now , but more than likely it'll grow as I add some of the series that'll premiere. I wanna try Vampire Diaries because of Somerhalder so I'll definitely be watching the premiere for that but I don't know if he could make me watch the whole season. As for the shows that are already airing, I only have one and that's Psych. And yes, it is still hilarious.

With my current list, I think I have almost a series or two to watch almost all the days of the week. That's good for me. :D

Supernatural Season 3 Finale

So, Supernatural season 3 has ended. Of all the season 3 episodes, I really have to say, this is one of the best. The episode took forever to appear in the torrent sites, I have no idea why. I was pretty uneasy since I thought that I wouldn't be able to get it on that day and will have to wait for the following Monday in order to watch it. But yay! After 6 or 7 hours of torturous waiting, someone finally uploaded it at LJ! And so the following will be spoilery for those who haven't seen the finale yet.

Seriously, one of the things that make this series a big hit, the great use of music. And I'm so happy that they're sticking with the season ender almost-official theme song "Carry on Wayward Son". When that played, it gave me the feeling that this really is the season finale. OMG, so that means I really have to wait for September for the next new episode. Earlier in the season, Ruby didn't do anything for me. But in this one, I love her, both as Ruby and as Lilith, even if she sorta kicked Dean's ass. And yay for Bobby being visible again. Now bring back Ellen too! Also, the girl who played Lilith was great. She was freaking creepy coming into the scene as a little innocent looking girl dressed in white with red blood smeared in her chest and hands. And yay for the jamming session between the brothers. We've already seen Dean singing "Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore" before in season 2 but this time, Sam joins him in Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive". One drawback for me though is that the battle between the demons and the brothers aren't really as big as the Jus in Bello battle. It was still good though since they were able to confront Lilith. Speaking of confronting Lilith, that bright light not killing Sam made me confused. Was he able to use his dormant powers to save himself? Or did Lilith just stop in the middle of killing him?

As for the end of the episode, I was sorta pissed since it was spoiled to me (and I know, also to a few more pissed off people) in [info]dean_sam by a really inconsiderate person who doesn't know that spoilers should go inside an lj-cut and who I think was already sporked, cursed, bitched at, and cussed at to death. Anyway, there were hints throughout the episode about Dean's deal. If you listen to dialogue closely, it's there. We don't always get what we want. If we go down, we go down swinging. Lyrics from the Bon Jovi song, Dead or Alive. Cause I might not make it back. And now, I'm wondering, how big a fan of Buffy is Kripke? Because, is Dean going to be the new Buffy? Is the start of Supernatural S4 be like Buffy's S6. Will S4 have a musical too. XD All of those will be answered come the new season this September. OMG! That's 4 months of waiting. I don't know if I could wait that friggin' long. Dang you, Kripke! I would so like you dead for giving me a cliffhanger season ender but then if that happens, I wouldn't have my S4 this September. But still dang you, Kripke! Dang you! You know how to make your fangirls suffer.

on Survivor Panama: Exile Island

If you're watching Survivor and still don't know who wins it and don't wanna be spoiled, stop reading right now. This is spoiler-filled and I'm lazy to put it under a cut.

Still reading? I already warned you.

I'm pretty happy with this season of Survivor. Liked it better than the crappy Vanuatu one. But I was rooting for Terry to win it. Because any other winner than him would have been such a disappointing win. Or so I thought. I always liked Aras. But not enough to root for him. He is the pretty boy/hunk of the group that I thought he'll be a threat to others and will be ousted eventually. But since individual immunity started he was my second choice to win it if ever Terry doesn't. So my ideal final two was Terry and Aras and Terry winning it and overcoming the car curse. Oh my god. Someone really have to stop that car curse!!! Sad to say Terry was the third but I'm still glad Aras won. Seriously, better him than Danielle. And even better him than Cirie. I never did like Cirie. I'm one of those few people who just didn't like her at all. Right from the start when she contrived to vote Tina off. Yeah, never did like her from then. And now that it's finished I'm gonna sorta miss this season. No more crazy Shane. Though seriously, I like Shane and his craziness since he brought more life to the show than Cirie, Danielle, Bruce and Courtney combined. And no more alpha-male head-butting Terry and Aras. No more hunky and drool worthy Aras. And no more cocky Terry winning immunity. But yeah, up to the end, like what Shane said, I really think Terry was the ulitimate survivor in this season.

Anyway, congrats to Aras, you hunk, you! XD And now to wait for Survivor: Cook Islands this September. Looks like there's still be an exile island in this one too. Damn, that's such a long wait! Four months?! How the hell am I gonna live without my weekly Survivor fix! T____T

But anyway, before that have to watch TAR9 Finale this Thursday. I'm really not rooting anyone on this since I pretty much like everyone, and yes, that includes the frat boys. I'm partly glad that team MoJo's out last week but then pretty sad since every team in the finals looks like they get along well. So really nothing good for TV there. No bickering and such. But yeah, yay! TAR9 Finale!
