I got Savitar last December 22, 2009. Been scouting the web for the best place to get it and PinoyPS recommended Mr. Dynamic at Virra Mall. They had 120G PS3 Slim Asian for PhP14, 700. That just includes one controller, and the necessary AV cables and power cords. I don’t know why I didn’t get the US version. I usually buy my discs from Amazon anyway. But the Asian is cheaper and that’s the deal clencher for me. XD That still doesn’t include the HDMI cable. And no games. So I got Little Big Planet, Assassin’s Creed II, Uncharted II and God of War Collection. PinoyPS has this buy and sell of games section and over the holidays I was able to expand my game collection to include Resident Evil 5, Assassin’s Creed and Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Now only Batman: Arkham Asylum’s lacking on my immediate games wishlist. Also, I’m now ready for Final Fantasy XIII and God of War III come March! Wooohooo!

And now that I’ve finished it, I so want to play the game yet again. Balthier! OMG! I love you Balthier! You’re such a hero. You really are the leading man in my book. *snuggles* I’m glad I finished it. Call me crybaby but I teared up when I saw Balthier fixing the Bahamut in order to save Rabanaster. Talk about hero complex, this guy loves saving the day. I was sorta spoiled in this part of the game, knowing that he and Fran will be staying behind when the Strahl leaves, but I still was rooting to have a small glimpse of him prior to the end credits. But no, I just get to see a card/note. Now, I’m wanting Square-Enix to make an NA release for Revenant Wings just to be able to see Balthier yet again. Good thing that I’m really planning on getting a DS than a PSP.

The only thing that kept me baffled was… there was something between Basch and Ashe? O_o I mean, throughout the game, I was thinking that what Basch was feeling for Ashe was more of loyalty and duty. I didn’t know that there’s something romantic going on between these two. So when Penelo said in her letter to Larsa that Ashe was missing Basch… I was like… ehhh?! I felt more chemistry between Ashe and Vaan than Ashe and Basch. Actually, I was rooting for Vaan and Ashe til the end. I didn’t feel anything for the Penelo and Vaan relationship unless you talk about friendship because that’s the only thing I saw between the two. I saw Penelo having some feelings towards Vaan but it felt like Vaan wasn’t returning Penelo’s feeling and she’s just the bestfriend. I never saw Vaan gave Penelo the same concern he gave Ashe.

But then, this is a game that I truly enjoyed even with the lack of the romantic side of the story. I enjoyed it more actually due to it’s political strife and war. Plus, who needs the love story when you have a hero like Balthier. XD

On another note, OMG! Spider-man 3 trailer! [download] *hyperventilates* Why oh why is May such a long wait. I want to see this movie NOW!

But something’s bothering me about it though. Why did they say that Flint Marko is the actual killer of Uncle Ben?! I mean at the first movie and from what I remember from the cartoons, the nameless thug that Peter met at the elevator was the thug that killed Uncle Ben, right? A person from the IMDB boards said that the thug and Marko are partners or something. :\ Maybe their doing it for the revenge and emo and angst inside Parker.

Also, the trailer looks like it’s the first half of the movie. Either that or Venom just comes out in the last few seconds of the movie. Because, why is there still no Venom in the trailer?! There’s already the black webbing where Mary Jane’s hanging. The symbiote separating itself from Peter. There’s that Venom wallpaper floating around. But no sign of Venom.

As for Final Fantasy XII… I wasn’t able to play it non-stop during the vacation since my brother hogged the PS. But I did make some progress. Yeah, Fran kept dying on me. Balthier is still love as usual. Dang! He really is absolutely sexy.

SKY PIRATES ARE LOVE! MINE BABY!! I got that one before the vacation started and back then both .org and .net were available. I was having a tough time deciding. .org sounded cool but then I already have one. .net is okay but not as cool as the .org one. Plus, I’ll be releasing my .net next year once it expires. I though of buying the two but then I don’t want to be a domain hog. So, I ended up with the .net. Right now, .org is already taken.

Note to self: do something with Sky-PirateNET please.

I learned that the local bootleg market already has the leaked version of Final Fantasy XII. So yeah, bought it along with Dirge of Cerberus. And seriously, I have no idea why, but so far, I’m liking XII better than X. Love the battle system. It was confusing at first, running around while picking what commands to use. And no it’s not Kingdom Hearts button smashing thing. But then Gambits came along and that was love. It was pretty easy after that. Mainly, I love the fact that someone in the party could automatically heal me if my HP reaches a certain level. But then, I’m still pretty early on the game that I still don’t have Summons or Limits if ever there’s that in this game. I mean, I’m 15 hours into it, and I’m just level 14+ or something. And I’m just in the second main city that Vaan visits. What’s keeping Vaan busy is the hunting and the running around on errands stuff. That’s what Vaan is! A gofer! XD But I still like him.

But one of the main reasons why I love this game: BALTHIER!!! OMG! Balthier is shexay love! Seriously! Sky pirates are hot. Well, this one is. The talk. The accent. The sway of the hips. Yumm. :P But then, why is it that his stats suck. Well, it’s the same as Vaan’s stats which is really average. But then Fran has even more Attack power than him. But then Fran has the Killer Bow or something while Balthier only has the Iron Sword. XD

Well, yeah, that’s what’s keeping me busy at night. As for the day and weekends: work and laziness. Which is really boring stuff. So I won’t babble about that. XD And I’ll talk more FFXII once I finished everything.
